FSMA was established in 1998 with the mission of relieving hardship and suffering faced by Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) patients and their families. The NGO is passionate about raising awareness about SMA diseases and the plight of these victims in HK and elsewhere. We also work with healthcare sectors to advocate for community well-being.<\/div>\n
BREATHE WELL<\/div>\n
Spinal Muscular Atrophy is a serious motor neuron disease that affects children and eventually strips all voluntary functions. Many will fatally succumb to pneumonia due to an inability to breathe properly, exposing them to nasty respiratory infections. Our project helps them to live safely at home with mechanical ventilators.<\/div>\n
