They serve neighbours through outreach services, visit street sleepers, residents of sub-divided flats or wood-partitioned rooms regularly, as well as providing specific healthcare projects like dental services, eye check-ups and treatment for the elderly; assessment and therapy for children with special educational needs; anti-flea and home cleaning services for residents in poor living environments.<\/div>\n<div class=\"projectName\">Prevention of fall &amp; fragility fractures for underprivileged elderly people<\/div>\n<div class=\"projectSummary\">The project invites 100 at-risk elderly people to conduct assessment of risk of fall injury, followed by providing DEXA scan for those in need. Follow-up consultations, medications for interim management with walking aid and fall prevention shoes to be provided to those in need. Coach\/therapist-guided training programs will also be provided to diagnosed participants. The project aims to provide preventive management and reduce the possibility of severe morbidity and mortality.<\/div>\n<div class=\"beneficiaries\">100 elderlies<\/div>\n<p>  <a class=\"scmp\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/news\/hong-kong\/society\/article\/3242071\/operation-santa-claus-hong-kong-charity-aims-help-prevent-potentially-fatal-falls-among-high-risk\">SCMP Article<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"year\">2023<\/div>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"main-image\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Saint-Barnabas-Society-and-Home.png\" alt=\"main image\" \/><br \/>\n  <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"logo\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Saint-Barnabas-Society-and-Home-Logo.png\" alt=\"logo\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-zh\">\u8056\u5df4\u62ff\u5df4\u6703\u4e4b\u5bb6<\/div>\n<div class=\"organization-summary-zh\">\u8056\u5df4\u62ff\u5df4\u6703\u4e4b\u5bb6 \u81ea1987\u5e74\u8d77\u670d\u52d9\u9999\u6e2f\u7684\u8ca7\u7aae\u548c\u9732\u5bbf\u8005\u3002\u4ed6\u5011\u900f\u904e\u5916\u5c55\u670d\u52d9\u3001\u5b9a\u671f\u63a2\u8a2a\u9732\u5bbf\u8005\u3001\u528f\u623f\u6216\u677f\u9593\u623f\u5c45\u6c11\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u63d0\u4f9b\u7279\u5b9a\u7684\u91ab\u7642\u4fdd\u5065\u9805\u76ee\uff0c\u5982\u7259\u79d1\u670d\u52d9\u3001\u9577\u8005\u773c\u79d1\u6aa2\u67e5\u548c\u6cbb\u7642\uff1b\u6709\u7279\u6b8a\u6559\u80b2\u9700\u8981\u5152\u7ae5\u7684\u8a55\u4f30\u548c\u6cbb\u7642\uff1b\u70ba\u5c45\u4f4f\u74b0\u5883\u60e1\u52a3\u7684\u5c45\u6c11\u63d0\u4f9b\u9664\u8768\u548c\u5bb6\u5c45\u6e05\u6f54\u670d\u52d9\u3002<\/div>\n<div class=\"projectName-zh\">\u5f31\u52e2\u9577\u8005\u9632\u8dcc\u9632\u9aa8\u6298\u652f\u63f4\u8a08\u5283<\/div>\n<div class=\"projectSummary-zh\">\u9805\u76ee\u9080\u8acb 100\u540d \u8655\u65bc\u98a8\u96aa\u4e2d\u7684\u9577\u8005\u9032\u884c\u8dcc\u5012\u53d7\u50b7\u98a8\u96aa\u8a55\u4f30\uff0c\u4e26\u70ba\u6709\u9700\u8981\u7684\u4eba\u58eb\u63d0\u4f9b DEXA \u6383\u63cf\uff08\u9aa8\u8cea\u5bc6\u5ea6\u6aa2\u67e5\uff09\u3002\u5c07\u70ba\u6709\u9700\u8981\u7684\u4eba\u58eb\u63d0\u4f9b\u5f8c\u7e8c\u8aee\u8a62\u3001\u81e8\u6642\u7ba1\u7406\u85e5\u7269\u3001\u52a9\u884c\u5668\u548c\u9632\u8dcc\u978b\u3002\u540c\u6642\u70ba\u78ba\u8a3a\u53c3\u52a0\u8005\u63d0\u4f9b\u6559\u7df4\/\u6cbb\u7642\u5e2b\u6307\u5c0e\u7684\u8a13\u7df4\u8a08\u5283\u3002\u9805\u76ee\u65e8\u5728\u63d0\u4f9b\u9810\u9632\u6027\u7ba1\u7406\uff0c\u6e1b\u5c11\u56b4\u91cd\u767c\u75c5\u7387\u548c\u6b7b\u4ea1\u7387\u7684\u53ef\u80fd\u6027\u3002<\/div>\n<div class=\"beneficiaries-zh\">100\u540d\u9577\u8005<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saint Barnabas\u2019 Society and Home (SBSH) has been serving the poor and the homeless in Hong Kong since 1987.
