We collect safe-to-eat surplus food from F&amp;B outlets all over the city and deliver to those in need. The role of Foodlink is to connect the supply to the demand as effectively as possible. The benefits are twofold \u2013 while reducing hunger we also reduce the pressure on our landfills.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"projectName\">We Love Green Food Store<\/div>\n<div class=\"projectSummary\">A community-based green food store is to be set up in Kowloon District, where a large population of low-income families are living in public housing. In Hong Kong, 3,255 tonnes of food go to waste every day, while 1.65 million people are living in poverty. The food store targets to provide food assistance to the underprivileged who are suffering from food insecurity. <\/p>\n<p> Foodlink collects surplus fresh produce from its supermarket partner and will supply this to the food store for distribution to the beneficiaries living nearby.
