We provide financial aid for educational courses and procurement of educational materials in various languages. We also organise prison visitation programmes.<\/p>\n<p> Since a high number of prisoners are in jail due to drug trafficking, through social media, we raise awareness in overseas countries of the harsh penalties in Hong Kong for drug mules.<\/p>\n<p> We also sponsor a radio programme for prisoners called Prison Visitation on the Air.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"projectName\">Education Fund for Those in Custody<\/div>\n<div class=\"projectSummary\">The demand from prisoners for education courses is overwhelming particularly for degree courses offered by The Metropolitan University of Hong Kong. For less able students we advise courses provided by The School of Continuing and Professional Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p> After people leave prison or detention, they have the challenge of finding employment. If they have some education, this will enable them to have skills to offer to any future employer or the ability to start up their own business. It is important to society that they become good citizens and do not re-offend.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"beneficiaries\">100 people in custody wishing to take educational courses<\/div>\n<p>  <a class=\"scmp\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/news\/hong-kong\/society\/article\/3198628\/operation-santa-claus-works-mercy-people-behind-bars-cash-hong-kong-charity-drive\">SCMP Article<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"year\">2022<\/div>\n<p>  <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"main-image\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Voice-for-Prisoners.png\" alt=\"main image\" \/><br \/>\n  <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"logo\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Voice-for-Prisoners-Logo.png\" alt=\"logo\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-zh\">Voice for Prisoners<\/div>\n<div class=\"organization-summary-zh\">Voice for Prisoners \u5e6b\u52a9\u5728\u56da\u72af\u514b\u670d\u7344\u4e2d\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u6311\u6230\u3002\u6211\u5011\u76f8\u4fe1\u6559\u80b2\u662f\u56da\u72af\u7372\u91cb\u5f8c\u6210\u529f\u7684\u95dc\u9375\u3002\u6211\u5011\u7684\u6559\u80b2\u8ab2\u7a0b\u70ba\u4ed6\u5011\u63d0\u4f9b\u8ca1\u653f\u63f4\u52a9\uff0c\u4e26\u63a1\u8cfc\u5404\u7a2e\u8a9e\u8a00\u7684\u6559\u80b2\u6750\u6599\uff0c\u4e26\u7d44\u7e54\u53ca\u9032\u884c\u63a2\u76e3\u8a08\u5283\u3002\u7531\u65bc\u5927\u91cf\u56da\u72af\u56e0\u8ca9\u6bd2\u5165\u7344\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u900f\u904e\u793e\u4ea4\u5a92\u9ad4\u5728\u6d77\u5916\u63d0\u5347\u5927\u773e\u5c0d\u9999\u6e2f\u6bd2\u8ca9\u6240\u9762\u81e8\u7684\u56b4\u53b2\u61f2\u7f70\u7684\u8a8d\u77e5\u3002\u6211\u5011\u4ea6\u66fe\u8d0a\u52a9\u4e00\u500b\u540d\u70ba\u300a\u7a7a\u4e2d\u63a2\u76e3\u300b\u7684\u56da\u72af\u96fb\u53f0\u7bc0\u76ee\u3002<\/div>\n<div class=\"projectName-zh\">\u5728\u56da\u4eba\u58eb\u6559\u80b2\u57fa\u91d1<\/div>\n<div class=\"projectSummary-zh\">\u56da\u72af\u5c0d\u6559\u80b2\u8ab2\u7a0b\u7684\u9700\u6c42\u975e\u5e38\u9f90\u5927\uff0c\u7279\u5225\u662f\u9999\u6e2f\u90fd\u6703\u5927\u5b78\u63d0\u4f9b\u7684\u5b78\u4f4d\u8ab2\u7a0b\u3002\u5c0d\u65bc\u80fd\u529b\u8f03\u5f31\u7684\u5b78\u751f\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5efa\u8b70\u5831\u8b80\u9999\u6e2f\u4e2d\u6587\u5927\u5b78\u5c08\u696d\u9032\u4fee\u5b78\u9662\u63d0\u4f9b\u7684\u8ab2\u7a0b\u3002\u4ed6\u5011\u96e2\u958b\u76e3\u7344\u6216\u62d8\u7559\u6240\u5f8c\uff0c\u6703\u9762\u81e8\u5c0b\u627e\u5de5\u4f5c\u7684\u6311\u6230\u3002\u82e5\u66fe\u63a5\u53d7\u904e\u6559\u80b2\uff0c\u70ba\u672a\u4f86\u50f1\u4e3b\u63d0\u4f9b\u6280\u80fd\uff0c\u751a\u81f3\u958b\u5c55\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u696d\u52d9\uff0c\u6709\u6548\u5730\u8b93\u4ed6\u5011\u6210\u70ba\u826f\u597d\u516c\u6c11\uff0c\u4e0d\u518d\u91cd\u72af\uff0c\u9020\u798f\u793e\u6703\u3002x<\/div>\n<div class=\"beneficiaries-zh\">100\u540d\u5728\u56da\u4eba\u58eb<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Voice for Prisoners helps prisoners overcome some of the many challenges encountered behind bars.
