When his father Samuel learned that Hei-hei would have to receive lifelong blood transfusions, the whole family became worried, anxious and uncertain about Hei-hei\u2019s future. Luckily, Samuel came across the Children\u2019s Thalassaemia Foundation.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nWith help from the Foundation, the family raised enough money to research potential blood marrow donations. Eventually, Hei-hei underwent a blood marrow transplant after successfully finding a matching donor.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nIn 2015, OSC provided the Foundation with medical funds to support, test and operate on child patients with transfusion-dependent thalassaemia. Without this funding, Hei-hei might not be with us today. The family would like to express their gratitude for all the support and help they received.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"main-image\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Frame-36-1.png\" alt=\"main image\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"date\">29 Nov 2017<\/div>\n<p><iframe width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/opIZS26qOmM?si=hT3WV2Y7zTNcdxk9\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div class=\"title-zh\">\u5e6b\u52a9\u5730\u4e2d\u6d77\u8ca7\u8840\u5152\u7ae5<\/div>\n<div class=\"organization-summary-zh\">\u5e74\u50c5\u4e94\u6b72\u534a\u7684\u5e0c\u5e0c\uff0c\u4e00\u51fa\u751f\u4fbf\u78ba\u8a3a\u60a3\u6709\u91cd\u578b\u5730\u4e2d\u6d77\u8ca7\u8840\u3002\u7576\u7236\u89aaSamuel\u5f97\u77e5\u5e0c\u5e0c\u9700\u8981\u7d42\u751f\u4f9d\u8cf4\u8f38\u8840\uff0c\u5168\u5bb6\u4e0a\u4e0b\u5c0d\u5e0c\u5e0c\u7684\u672a\u4f86\u7686\u611f\u5230\u64d4\u6182\u3001\u7126\u616e\u8207\u832b\u7136\u3002\u6240\u5e78\uff0cSamuel\u806f\u7d61\u4e0a\u4e86\u5730\u4e2d\u6d77\u8ca7\u8840\u5152\u7ae5\u57fa\u91d1\u3002<br \/>\n<br \/>\n\u5728\u57fa\u91d1\u7684\u5354\u52a9\u4e0b\uff0c\u5e0c\u5e0c\u4e00\u5bb6\u6210\u529f\u7c4c\u96c6\u4e86\u5145\u8db3\u8cc7\u91d1\uff0c\u9032\u884c\u6f5b\u5728\u9aa8\u9ad3\u6350\u8d08\u8005\u7684\u914d\u5c0d\u7814\u7a76\u3002\u6700\u7d42\uff0c\u5728\u6210\u529f\u914d\u5c0d\u6350\u8d08\u8005\u5f8c\uff0c\u5e0c\u5e0c\u5f97\u4ee5\u63a5\u53d7\u9aa8\u9ad3\u79fb\u690d\u624b\u8853\u3002<br \/>\n<br \/>\n<strong>\u611b\u5fc3\u8056\u8a95\u5927\u884c\u52d5<\/strong>\u65bc2015\u5e74\u64a5\u6b3e\u63d0\u4f9b\u91ab\u7642\u8cc7\u91d1\u4e88\u57fa\u91d1\u6703\uff0c\u7528\u4ee5\u652f\u6301\u3001\u6aa2\u6e2c\u53ca\u70ba\u60a3\u6709\u8f38\u8840\u4f9d\u8cf4\u578b\u5730\u4e2d\u6d77\u8ca7\u8840\u7684\u5152\u7ae5\u9032\u884c\u95dc\u9375\u624b\u8853\u3002\u82e5\u7121\u6b64\u9805\u8cc7\u52a9\uff0c\u5e0c\u5e0c\u53ef\u80fd\u7121\u6cd5\u5ef6\u7e8c\u751f\u547d\u3002\u5e0c\u5e0c\u7684\u5bb6\u4eba\u5c0d\u6240\u6709\u652f\u6301\u548c\u63f4\u52a9\u8868\u9054\u6700\u8aa0\u646f\u7684\u8b1d\u610f\u3002<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Five-and-a-half-year-old Hei-hei was born with Thalassaemia Major.
