Sylvia Wang is the Chief Financial Officer of the South China Morning Post, overseeing accounting and financial management, Legal and Facilities Management, as well as the People Team, and serving as a director for certain SCMP subsidiaries. With over 25 years of experience in accounting and financial management, Sylvia joined SCMP in 2016 after working as Senior Finance Director at Alibaba Group, the owner of SCMP, and previously as an audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, an international audit firm. Sylvia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in Professional Accountancy, from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, ACCA and the Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute.

Paul Wong is a seasoned lawyer with an international background.  He is qualified in both Australia and Hong Kong.  In addition to his legal qualifications, Paul also holds a Bachelor of Commerce. Besides his career in the legal and business fields, Paul has volunteered for over 10 years for the children ministry of an English-language church in Hong Kong. He has also provided voluntary services in Australia and Hong Kong for refugees and the underprivileged.  Paul is passionate about creating impact and empowering others to find their purposes in life.

Cliff Buddle is the South China Morning Post’s Special Projects editor. A journalist for more than 40 years, Cliff began his career as a court reporter in London and moved to Hong Kong in 1994 to join the Post. He returned to the United Kingdom in 2022.
He has held a variety of editorial positions, including News Editor, Deputy Editor and Acting Editor-in-Chief. He writes a weekly column and has legal qualifications. Cliff has been associated with Operation Santa Claus for more than a decade.

Coey Chui is the Financial Controller of the South China Morning Post, where she oversees all aspects of accounting and financial management for the organization. She has over 20 years of extensive experience in finance, accounting, and auditing across diverse industries including media, aviation, and corporate finance.

Before joining SCMP, she was the Financial Controller for a leading private jet management company in Hong Kong. Her career also includes being a Vice President at a corporate finance company, where she managed various corporate finance projects, including IPOs and M&As. Earlier in her career, she worked as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Coey is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Tse Hung Fei is the Acting Head of English Programme Service, supervising both Radio 3 and Radio 4 operations at RTHK.
Fei first joined the station in late 1989 and started his career with Radio 4 - the only fine music channel in Hong Kong. After years of being the producer for many important classical music events and programmes, he was made Head of Radio 4 in 2022.
“I may look like a rocker in appearance but I actually lead a classical music channel” is often how Fei would introduce himself.
In June 2024, Fei accepted the additional challenge of running Radio 3, which he believes is an amazing opportunity to express his passion and interest in a great variety of music through professional programming and production, and with the added bonus of working on “Operation Santa Claus”, a project which means so much to RTHK, the SCMP, and the community we serve.

Tam Wing Fai is Head of Radio 3, the local English radio channel that shares the city’s sense
of diversity and global perspective via broadcasting.
Prior to this position, Fai has served 29 long years across various sections at the station,
including Chinese programming, public affairs, culture and education, traffic presentation,
community involvement in broadcasting, radio development to libraries management.
The longest involvement in his broadcasting career was a weekend global affairs show, “TheWorld in a Nutshell”, in which he was producer and presenter from 2009 to 2022.
He always finds a sense of humanity and freedom in music, sports and radio broadcasting.

Phil Whelan is a former professional clarinetist who performed with the Hong Kong Philharmonic, the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, and the London Swing Orchestra, including session recordings for BBC Radio 2. His performance credits include the London production of Phantom of the Opera and Australian national productions of Hello, Dolly! and South Pacific. He has also conducted multiple musical theatre productions, frequently featuring members of the Hong Kong Philharmonic, and led the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong in “pops” concerts. His musical work includes appearances on CD recordings and television commercials.

 

He has 30 years of experience as a radio broadcaster and producer at RTHK Radios 3 and 4. Since 2003, he has presented the daily talk and music show The Brew (formerly Morning Brew), interviewing a variety of public figures and specialists. He has written, produced, and presented dozens of radio series, alongside producing live outside broadcasts for international sporting events, including the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens, the Hong Kong Open, the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes, and LIV Golf. Additionally, he has conceived and produced live and recorded classical and pops broadcasts, and has produced 15 opening and closing ceremonies for Operation Santa Claus.

Andy Kwok Wing-leung, BBS, JP, is Chairman of the Hong Kong Golf Club’s Charity Committee, which raises funds for worthy causes throughout the city through the Club’s successful annual Cup of Kindness golf tournament. Prior to taking on this role, Andy was the longest serving Captain of the Club in its 137-year history, serving for four years from 2022 to 2026. 
 
A committed advocate for youth development, he is also the Chairman of the Award Council of the Hong Kong Award for Young People (AYP), formerly known as the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Additionally, Andy holds several key positions, including Chairman of the Hong Kong Volunteers Association, Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Enhancing Employment of People with Disabilities, Member of the Steering Committee on the Child Development Fund, and Member of the School Allocation Committee, among others. His contributions reflect his passion for uplifting the community and supporting those in need.

Moraine Chan is a multifaceted professional with a strong background in sports and marketing. She has been involved with the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, contributing to partnerships, fundraising, and development in the Asia-Pacific region. Her journey began as a junior national track and field athlete, which led her to pursue sustainable sport for development and youth empowerment. Moraine has extensive experience in commercial marketing and event management, collaborating with various brands and National Sports Associations in Hong Kong. She serves as a trusted advisor for several sports and youth development NGOs, including the Hong Kong Association of Athletics Affiliates and The Hong Kong Award for Young People. Moraine's passion for sports and her expertise in sports marketing have made her a valuable asset in reshaping communities through the power of sports.

Christine Kwan is the Head of Impact Giving at the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. Christine has 20+ years of experience in philanthropy and has led WiseGiving since its inception, dedicated to promoting effective partnership between funders and charities. As the team grew and expanded its scope, then became Impact Giving, enabling collaboration between funders, charities and social enterprises, to foster co-creation and sustainable solutions for social good.
Christine serves as an independent charity advisor for Operation Santa Claus.
