OSC MBA Challenge

OSC MBA Challenge is an inter-school campaign that empowers Hong Kong’s future business leaders to channel their marketing expertise and innovation into social good. By challenging teams of MBA students and alumni to design and execute real-world fundraising strategies, the initiative drives public awareness and vital financial support for the underprivileged.

Challenge objective

OSC is a platform for students and alumni from MBA to transform business learning to actionable social impact opportunities. This campaign aims at 3 focuses: empowering future leaders, generating tangible support to local community and fostering cross-disciplinary network to social responsibility.

Drive measurable social impact

Participants to mobilise their strategic business expertise to execute give back campaigns to raise public awareness while fundraise for OSC

Cultivate real-world leadership

A hands-on platform for participants to test their leadership thinking and apply to real-life setting before bringing back to workplace

Forge network for social good

An exclusive opportunity to connect academia, corporate elites across all participating MBA teams, building a wider community to showcase social responsibility

Ignite values & compassion

Students would gain social awareness and empathy, seeing that their actions can bring about real changes in the community.

Elevate English & SEL

Students’ English skills would be boosted through in person-interviews by SCMP Young Post reporters, The activities will allow them to master communication and foster emotional intelligence.

Cultivate leadership for good

Students would be given the chance to lead impactful campaigns, allowing them to mastering goal-setting skills, inspire their peers, build confidence, and have fund playing games to compete for prestigious awards.

To make the challenge more exciting and as a token of appreciation:

  • Winners of the Top Fundraiser and Most Creative Business Plan will receive an exlcusive experiential learning tour with our charity partners.
  • Guaranteed media exposure on scmp.com.
  • A certificate of achievement.

How to participate?

      • Form a team of 3 to 6 members. All participants must be current students and/ or graduates of an MBA programme from any recognised university.
      • Submit a 3-minute pitch video alongside a 6-slide business plan presentation deck.
      • Selected teams are required to fundraise a minimum of HK$50,000.
      • A judging panel will decide the winner based on criteria including innovativeness, creativity, how well the plan is implemented, the sales results, team work, and the team’s presentation skills.
