Launched in 2017, the OSC School Fun4Funds Challenge is an educational fundraising initiative that inspires students to discover the joy, purpose and impact of giving. Through fun, creative and student-led activities, the Challenge helps young people understand the importance of compassion, social responsibility and active citizenship.
The Fun4Funds Challenge is designed to enhance students’ growth in three key areas:
Mobilising the school community
Fun4Funds connects students, teachers and families together for a shared cause, strengthening generosity and promoting a caring school culture.
Driving student ownership & creativity
Fun4Funds empowers young people to turn imagination into community action, allowing students to take full ownership of their ideas while building essential confidence, communication and leadership skills.
Fostering service learning & social and emotional learning (SEL)
Through hands-on service learning experience, students recognise how their actions create positive change, enhancing development of core SEL skills, such as empathy, responsibility, purpose and social awareness.

The fundraising campaign ideas below feature examples from schools in previous years, offering inspiration for creating meaningful initiatives that bring students together for a good cause. These examples can help your school develop a campaign that reflects its goals, creativity, and community spirit, while you are also welcome to create your own unique campaign that empowers students to make a real impact.
(e.g., local food booths, mini-exhibition/interactive activities that promote local traditions)
OSC offers practical resources to help schools plan and deliver their activities with full confidence. Our toolkit includes:
Campaign guidelines
Fundraising activity ideas from past school partners as reference
Fun game toolkits to support fundraising activities
OSC provides free fundraising resource to make participation simple and accessible. Resource include the following:
Donation boxes for collecting cash donations during the school fundraising activities.
Digital payment links or QR codes to support platforms such as Alipay, Payme and FPS for quicker and more convenient donations.
Digital Promotional assets, including poster and leaflet templates, illustrations and social media materials to help schools promote their fundraising activities.
E-certificates for participating students to recognise their contributions and encourage continued involvement in community service.
Being a part of OSC helps ensure that our students are exposed to different ways they can make an impact on the community around them.
Impressed by my senior’s examples of combining charity work with school carnivals, from a former participant, I stepped up to become part of the organising committee. Through OSC, we connected our schoolmates for this meaningful collaboration.
The partnership between Discovery Mind and OSC enriches our students’ education by reinforcing the core values of respect, empathy, kindness, and social responsibility.
