Riding for the Disabled Association main image
Riding for the Disabled Association (“RDA”) has been contributing to the disabled community for the past 47 years since 1975 and we are the only charity provide FREE therapeutic riding program in Hong Kong. RDA aims to teach disabled people to ride a horse to the best of their ability. Riding is widely recognized as one of the most beneficial forms of therapy the disabled can receive, it builds self-confidence, improves concentration and self-discipline.

Project Name
Dressage Simulator for Therapeutic Horse-Riding Programme
Project Summary
Since the current dressage simulator was second hand and used for almost 20 years, some of the functions are not working and we would like to purchase a new dressage simulator to replace the current one. The dressage simulator is used as an introduction to the riders prior to riding on a real horse and enables riders to get used to the size of a horse and feel the movement. Also, riders can feel more relaxed, especially those who have not been around horses before. It also allows RDA to continue the lessons under adverse weather.
