Saint Barnabas’ Society and Home (SBSH) has been serving the poor and the homeless in Hong Kong since 1987. They serve neighbours through outreach services, visit street sleepers, residents of sub-divided flats or wood-partitioned rooms regularly, as well as providing specific healthcare projects like dental services, eye check-ups and treatment for the elderly; assessment and therapy for children with special educational needs; anti-flea and home cleaning services for residents in poor living environments.

- Prevention of fall & fragility fractures for underprivileged elderly people
                            
- Project Summary
- The project invites 100 at-risk elderly people to conduct assessment of risk of fall injury, followed by providing DEXA scan for those in need. Follow-up consultations, medications for interim management with walking aid and fall prevention shoes to be provided to those in need. Coach/therapist-guided training programs will also be provided to diagnosed participants. The project aims to provide preventive management and reduce the possibility of severe morbidity and mortality.
