What is a 5-a-side?

5-a-side football is a dynamic, mini version of the sport designed for maximum fun and accessibility. Each team consists of five players (four outfield players and one goalkeeper) competing on a smaller pitch with shorter game durations. It’s a fast-paced, engaging game perfect for players of all skill levels and it’s all for a great cause!

About the Event

Jointly organised by Operation Santa Claus (OSC) and the Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC), this year marks the 27th anniversary of our annual 5-a-side Football Tournament. We welcome footballers from corporations, junior football clubs, and schools to sign up and join us for a full day of thrilling matches.

It’s more than just a game; it’s a chance to raise funds for communities in need. All proceeds from the enrolment fees will be donated to OSC, making you a vital part of our mission for collaborative giving.

Selection Process Criteria

Our events are a major source of support for our charitable programs and a full tournament helps us maximise the funds we raise. For this reason, preference will be given to teams that have joined OSC sports tournaments in the past three years, as well as those that are participating in HKJFL and HKFA Leagues.

While we will do our best to accommodate new teams as spots become available on a first-come, first-served basis, please note that due to limited venue capacity and team quotas, we may not be able to accept every registration.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us fulfill our mission.
